FAQ
CDs:
Are any of your CDs bootlegs?
No, we can guarantee that none of the CDs for sale here are bootlegs. While there may be some "other versions" available as well as "sample/promos" all of these are official versions in their respective countries.
How can you tell what's bootleg and what's not?
In most cases it's easy to tell if a CD is bootleg by the company/label information. For most artists when their CD is released by it's clearly labeled who the label is. In addition all CDs are given a catalog number by the respective company and usually starts with an initial and a number. Ex. for Avex CDs the catalog information is literally something like AVCD-23856. This information can always be readily found on the artists homepage or on the label's artists information pages.

While a lot of these companies specialize in anime music most have also spread out into popular Japanese music.
Why buy used? Why not buy a cheaper bootleg?
Technically it's up to you what you buy. No one is judging you. However if you find you really love an artist, one way of showing that love is purchasing their CDs. However, many people find the prices of new Japanese CDs too expensive for them which is why used is such a great option. At least with used CDs you can rest assured that the CD has been purchased officially, which supports the artist, before changing hands unlike a bootleg CD which sale only benefits the bootleggers.
Do the CDs come with first pressing/limited edition extras?
While not all will, some CDs will indeed come with their first pressing/limited edition extras. This includes but is not limited to: posters, stickers, postcards, anime related goods, and special packaging such as digipacks. It will be clearly noted if these extra items are available with a CD.
Do some CDs come with DVDs?
Some do! You'll find we have a wide variety which includes many CD+DVD versions some that are limited editions, others that are not. As per our high standards we will never sell a CD+DVD version without the DVD.
What is an obi? Why should I care about it?
Traditionally an obi is a belt that used to tie up a kimono. For CDs the obi is a strip of folded paper that is wrapped around the spine of the CD. It usually has the text information such as artist name and single/album name printed on the spine for easier reading. This way when CDs are piled up and stored obi's allow the CD information to be read more easily.
Obtaining a CD with or without an obi is fully up to you. Some people prefer to have them, other people don't. It will always be listed whether or not a CD comes with it's obi.
